NAME: ***UNNAMED*** WHERE: Ramona, California CRIME: Threw his puppy over tall fence of commercial building VIDEO: youtu.be/ZDbMQkbltYg Right before closing time on Friday, August 29, employees at Investigative Science & Engineering, Inc. (ISE) were surprised to find a puppy limping around the fence-enclosed area of their commercial building. They had no idea how long the puppy had been there. Thankfully, surveillance cameras surrounding the building provided an answer to that question. Video footage extracted from the surveillance cameras shows a man walking around the perimeter of the commercial building shortly after 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 28. He is wearing a red shirt with an Adidas logo on the front and salmon- or faded maroon-colored trousers. Beside him is what appears to be his unleashed pit bull puppy dutifully, trustingly, and faithfully following him - her master. To this man, his faithful puppy equaled trash. He threw her away as easily as he would a raggedy pair of shoes that no longer served its purpose. Most people would agree that this mans uncaring and inhumane act towards an innocent dog who did nothing but love him was morally reprehensible. Even though this unidentified man obviously doesnt share the same sense of morality with respect to animals, what is significant is that the video indicates he knew that what he was about to do was wrong. According to the Karen Tavares, the Vice President of ISE, the full video footage - which has been turned over to law enforcement - shows the man spent quite a bit of time walking around the perimeter of the the fencing behind and beside the building trying to decide where he could do his bad deed where passers by would not be able to see him do it. As can be seen in the video, the female puppy had no idea what was about to happen to her. In a flash, her master - her whole world - picked her up and threw her over a tall, chain-linked fence. The video shows that she fell on her back and the fall was hard; so much so that it stunned her. After the puppy comes out of her painful jolt, the video shows her looking back at her master. Like all canines, this mans despicable behavior doesnt change her love for him. He doesnt deserve her love and devotion, but such is the nature of dogs. This puppy was extremely lucky. August 29th was the beginning of the 3-day Labor Day weekend. Temperatures during the summer season soar in southern California. In addition, there was no food or water where the puppy was trapped. Had the ISE employees not seen her before leaving work, she probably would have perished. Thanks to the compassion and generosity of ISE employees, the puppy is alive. The female, black and white pit bull is currently at the Northern Region shelter of the San Diego County Animal Control (sddac/shelter_locations.asp) waiting for a family that will show her what being loved really feels like. She is estimated to be around 6 months old and weighs 24 lbs. Her identification number is A1605523. Just as important as finding this young girl a home is identifying the man in the video. The incident took place at a commercial building on D Street in Ramona. If you have any information about this case, or can identify this man, contact Tavares by email at kareninramona@facebook. She will forward all leads to the authorities.
