NAMIBIAS PRESIDENT POHAMBA TO MAKE STATE VISIT TO SENEGAL WINDHOEK, April 3 (NNN-NAMPA) -- President Hifikepunye Pohamba of namibia will make a State visit to Sengeal this week to reciprocate the State visit of Senegalese President Macky Sall to Namibia last August. The president leaves for the West African country on Thursday, departing from the Hosea Kutako International Airport here in the afternoon. The State visit will coincide with that country’s 54th independence anniversary celebrations. Senegal is a member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and is also a member of the African Union (AU). President Pohamba’s entourage will include Foreign Affairs Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah; Trade and Industry Minister Calle Schlettwein; Special Adviser to the Foreign Affairs’ Minister Tuliameni Kalomoh; the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Selma Ashipala-Musavyi; and senior government officials. The Head of State and his delegation are expected to return on Saturday. -- NNN-NAMPA
