NARCOSE - A Short Film About Deep Water Free Diving French director Julie Gautier has released a new short film entitled Narcose (Narcosis) which follows deep water free diver Guillaume Néry as he swims to an unbelievable depth in a large lake. Deep water freediving exposes its practitioners to a form of narcosis, which induces several symptoms, among which a feeling of euphoria and levity that earned this phenomenon its nickname of raptures of the deep, reads the films blurb. It draws its inspiration from his physical experience and the narrative of his hallucinations. If you have a fear of deep water, definitely dont click play.
