NAS JAX SPORTING NEWS CAPTAIN’S CUP BEAN BAG TOSS DOUBLES TOURNAMENT JULY 28TH The tournament will be held at the NAS Jacksonville Fitness, Sports, and Aquatics Center on Monday, July 28th at 5pm. The league is open to active duty, selective reservists, DOD civilians, and DOD Contractor personnel assigned to a command at NAS Jacksonville. CAPTAIN’S CUP SKEET SHOOTING LEAGUE MEETING JULY 30TH The league is open to active duty, selective reservists, DOD civilians, and DOD Contractor personnel assigned to a command at NAS Jacksonville. The meeting will be held in the first floor conference room at Building 1 at 12:00pm. Commands having their athletic officer or designated representative attend the meeting will receive 5 captain’s cup points. All interested personnel should attend the meeting to discuss rules and to get the required paperwork to join the league. CAPTAIN’S CUP DODGE BALL TOURNAMENT SEPTEMBER 8TH The tournament is open to active duty, selective reservists, DOD civilians, and DOD Contractor personnel assigned to a command at NAS Jacksonville. Teams must be comprised of six players from the same command. The tournament will be held at the Guy Ballou Tennis Courts at 5pm. All interested personnel should contact the NAS Jax Gymnasium to sign up by September 3rd. Participants will earn participation points for their command toward the captain’s cup and can earn additional points for finishing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.
