NASA COMPETITION... Eleventh grade students Rohan Krishna, Nikita Prasad, Adela De Pavia, Andres Morales, and Kevin Ong participated in the Space Settlement Design competition at NASA. The competition is designed to test students mentally and physically by putting them in a high pressure environment with challenges and deadlines to meet within a span of 24 hours. They were each a part of 40-member teams that had to design, coordinate, and present a space settlement blueprint within this narrow period of time. These students did not get much sleep over the entire weekend. They were essentially working for 19 hours straight with their respective teams to complete a presentation. Overall, all of the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would agree that it was well worth it.
