NASS Security Now in The Hands of Sergeant-at-Arms By Nkem Cliff-Etuk The Chief Sergeant-at-Arms yesterday deployed all his men to man all entry points into the National Assembly complex and the police redeployed to only the outer gate. This may not be unconnected with the episode of November 20 where some lawmakers where denied access to the complex by the police. It may also be an affirmation to the motion moved by the Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, advocating the provision of a legal framework to empower sergeants-at-arms to bear arms so as to forestall future recurrence of the police invasion of NASS, a move that was supported by both the legislature and the legislative staff. -See more at:.peoplemonthlylive/story/1299/
