Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities . CSR Proficiency - Possess the ability to clearly communicate their knowledge of various insurance products, plans and programs; able to determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, and/or arrange for billing; keep records of customer interactions and transactions, record details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken; review insurance policy terms in order to determine whether a particular loss is covered by insurance; solicit sale of new or additional services or products. . Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens well and gets clarification; responds well to questions. . Customer Service – Responds promptly to customer calls and written correspondence; utilizes open listening skills and negotiation during policy reviews with customers; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments; builds rapport with each customer. . Computer Literacy – Ability to post transactions in the agency system of record; skillfully use most Microsoft Office applications. . Organizational Support – Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports organization’s goals and values. . Planning/Organization – Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; develops realistic action plans, meets deadlines. . Professionalism – Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments. .
