NATHAN AKE CHOOSE NOT TO GO OUT ON LOAN Chelsea starlet Nathan Ake has revealed he rejected the chance to go out on loan in order to earn home-grown status at Stamford Bridge. The highly-regarded Dutchman was tipped to follow several of his club-mates back to his homeland for a temporary stint away from Stamford Bridge. Six Chelsea players are currently on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, while PSV Eindhoven were believed to have shown an interest in Ake. However, the 18-year-old, who made six appearances in all competitions last term, insists he made a conscious choice to stay in west London this year. When asked about going out on loan, he told Dutch newspaper AD: "It was discussed, but if I have a full year at Chelsea it will be my third season in London. "Then I will count officially as a player from the club’s youth academy. Every club in England must have a minimum number of self-developed players.
