New Jersey... Flood watch remains in effect from 10 am edt this morning Through late tonight * From 10 am EDT this morning through late tonight * Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected from today into tonight with locally higher amounts possible. The added rain will increase the chances for flooding to occur on rivers and creeks that are already running high due to the heavy rain that occurred last Friday and Monday. * The greatest threat for flooding is along small streams and creeks as well as in areas of poor drainage. Area roadways that tend to flood easily will also be impacted. Minor flooding along some of the main stem rivers... Such as the Passaic... The Raritan and the Schuylkill is possible. Significant rises... To near bank full... Are also anticipated on the Delaware river. Precautionary/preparedness actions... This flood watch means that there is a potential for flooding Based on current forecasts.
