NATIONALS UPDATE IF OWN A VINTAGE RACE CAR YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT Howdy Vintage Race Fans! Here is an update on the Southern Vintage Race Car Nationals! Remember, we are also raising money for the Alzheimer’s Foundation at this event. Attention all competitors, Please review the technical inspection process and bring your check off sheets with you. Remember all belts need to be within 5 years and no antifreeze. These items will be checked! Friday is practice and Saturday is racing! I will tell you that early entries will get premium pit parking. All pit parking will be assigned by number and classes will be grouped together unless you have two cars then you may pit next to each other. Lots of good information that is about to be given out here. 1. Overnight camping is free at the race track but it is roughing it as there are no electrical or sewage hookups. 2. Howe Racing Parts will have his parts trailer at the track both days. 3. Race fuel will be available at the track. Sunoco 110 and premium 93 pump gas. 4. New Hoosier F-45 race tires will be available at the track. Sorry guys only the F-45 late model type tires will be there. NO MODIFIED type tires so if you need them, bring them with you! 5. There will be a track photographer at the track to get you those pictures we all want. 6. There are two auto parts stores just a couple miles away that may deliver to the track if needed. A CarQuest and NAPA. 7. MOTELS IN KENLY. The Quality inn is located at I-95 and HWY 301 just about 7 miles from the track is the event Motel. They will be giving us a special rate. They also have a free Continental Breakfast to get you going. PHONE 919-284-1000 for reservations. The Econo Lodge is located across the street and will have good rates as well. 8. The event t-shirt is in the works and is really cool. There will be limited numbers available so let us know if you want some so we can be prepared.
