NATIONALS candidate Sarah Sheedy says she feared the revelation of her "inner demons" may have scuttled her political ambitions. In a candid interview with the Bendigo Advertiser, Sheedy said the debilitating effects of epilepsy had pushed her to the edge and that at one point she "did not want to be here". But, with the election campaign over, she said she wanted to now share her story - and pass on a message of hope to never give up. Ms Sheedy, 25, said few people, including some of her closest friends, knew of the struggles she faced growing up. She said her life to the age of 18 was a constant battle with epilepsy.
