NATIONWIDE ROAD UPDATE DONEGAL: Still icy around Meenaroy and on the N15 Donegal/ Ballyshannon Rd at Laghy, where Gardai have cleared a crash. Continued care is advised on secondary roads, particularly in sheltered areas and on higher ground. Motorists should remember to slow down and leave yourself more time to complete your journey. The Ballybofey to Lifford road also has reported ice on it. Letterkenny Trentagh area roads are very bad with ice take extreme care this morning. Ice is a problem in a number of areas this morning. Reports of black ice around Tullamore, Mullingar and Waterford City. GALWAY: Very icy around Ballinasloe and there have been a number of crashes this morning. The Ballinasloe/ Kilconnell Rd (R348) is closed near the Station Rd Jct. Icy also around Derrymullan. SLIGO/ ROSCOMMON: Theres black ice on the Ballymote/ Boyle Rd R295. Extra care is needed on this route. ROSCOMMON: Theres ice on the N60 Castlebar/ Roscommon Rd between Castlerea and Roscommon Town. Theres also ice on the Castlerea/ Frenchpark Rd (R361). LONGFORD: Icy around Granard, particularly on the Longford Rd (R194). WESTMEATH/ LONGFORD: Theres ice on the Mullingar/ Ballymahon Rd (R392). Care is need along this route. OFFALY: Icy conditions along parts of the N62 Athlone/ Birr Rd. LEITRIM: Theres black ice in Carrick on Shannon and the surrounding area and its icy in Manorhamilton. MAYO The road to knock road to Charlestown is closed and diversions are in place. Fog has been reported around Monaghan Town; particularly on the Cootehill Rd (R188) and also around Wicklow Town and at the Sally Gap. Use your fog lights in the affected areas but be sure to switch them off afterwards
