NATURAL BEAUTY It has become rampant this days to see ladies applying one thing or the other on the face all in the name of make-up. Especially the use of lip-stick. The Food and Drug Administration in Washington concluded that coal-tar colours used in the manufacturing of lipstick caused death and illness in their tests. This is sufficient proof that make-up contains a certain amount of poison. Those who use lipstick are constantly taking small amount of this poison into their digestive system and they are injuring their bodies. Although the Food and Drug Administration did ban the use of their coal-tar colours, the ban was lifted when the eighty million dollar annual lipstick industry protested that their business would be ruined. The Bible speaks of keeping His commandments and doing those things that are pleasing in the sight of God. Is it pleasing in the sight of the Lord to use make-up? If the Lord wanted the lips to be more red and the eye brows black and the cheeks red, He would have made them so.I am sure we will not carry a supply of make-up to heaven with us to please the Lord. He is satisfied with the lips as He made them, and IT IS AN INSULT TO HIM FOR HUMAN BEINGS TO TRY TO REMAKE THEMSELVES. I read of a visitor from a fundamental church who visited a Bible believing church nd Holiness preacher.And after beholding the choristers, he was heard to say My, they look clean and wholesome.They have the beauty of Christ, while our choir looks like a group of painted gypsies. God who created us knows the best way we can look.We do not need to apply anything on our face to assist God.If God had said Thou shalt not wear make-up, the cosmetic industry would give it another name. Even Jeremiah decried and denounced in his days..though thou rentest thy face with painting,in vain shalt thou make thyself fairJer 4:30. IT PAYS TO BE NATURAL!
