NATURE OF INCIDENT: CITY WIDE DRUG TRAFFICKING OPERATION IRC NUMBER: NUMEROUS DATE: 9/20/2013 TIME: VARIOUS 1130 HRS THROUGH 2300 HRS LOCATION: SHERMAN HILLS AREA OF HEIGHTS AND SOUTH WILKES-BARRE AREA PERSONS INVOLVED: ARRESTED BUY/BUST OPERATION SHERMAN HILLS AREA OF WILKES-BARRE PA AND SOUTH WILKES-BARRE PA LANCE SMITH B/M DOB 11-12-1991 NO KNOWN ADDRESS SUSPECTED OF LIVING ILLEGALLY IN SHEMAN HILLS TERRELL WATSON B/M DOB 4-18-1989 5751 LEONARD ST PHILADELPHIA PA INCIDENT DETAILS: On September 20, 2013 The Wilkes-Barre Police Anti Crime Unit and the Pennsylvania State Police Troop P Vice Unit initiated several drug trafficking operations throughout several sections of the City of Wilkes-Barre PA. During the course of the investigations officers arrested five subjects for felony drug trafficking charges and arrested two subjects on outstanding felony drug warrants stemming from earlier drug trafficking investigations conducted by the two identified police agencies. Officers conducted two buy/bust operations which resulted in the arrest of Lance Smith and Tererell Watson. Smith was arrested in the area of Sherman Hills after he agreed to meet with investigators and deliver a quantity of MDMA. Smith attempted to run from police but was apprehended after a foot chase. Watson was also arrested in a buy/bust operation in the area of Horton Street and Roosevelt Street. Watson agreed to meet with investigator and sell a quantity of heroin. He was taken into custody without incident and was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and marijuana. _____________________________________________________________________________________The defendants were taken into custody and transported to Police HQ where they were processed and held for arraignment pending furthjer court action in the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas.
