NC hails CM for sanctioning relief of 26 Crore to Earth quake victims of Chenab valley BHADERWAH,OCT 30--- The National Conference today hailed the chief minister Omar Abdullah for sanctioning relief 26 Crore from the state exchequer to earth quake victims of Chenab valley , saying it was a long pending demand of the victims whose structures in May 01 earth quake got damaged . In a joint Press meet held here today under the chairmanship of Dr Riaz Bhaderwahi district senior vice President and in charge Bhaderwah constituency and Abdul Quyoom Bhagwan block President Bhaderwah along with other office bearers complimented chief minister Omar Abdullah for sanctioning huge amount for the earth quake victims of Bhaderwah,Bhalessa ,Doda and Kishtwar , keeping in view the damage and loss occurred in May 01 earth quake and also urged upon CM to constitute a monitoring committee for proper utilization as that suffers may get their due share . Bhaderwahi and Bhagwan also hailed CM for giving three months ration to effected people of Chenab valley and also urged upon center to full fill their promise of 300 crore as soon as possible and alleged that some tall leaders of Delhi only promises and play with the sentiments of earth quake victims to get vote bank .The leaders described the announcement and distribution of amount to victims as a step in right direction, saying this demonstrates the unflinching faith of National Conference in secular ethos and the composite culture of Jammu and Kashmir. Such initiatives, they said, were imperative in forging the bonds of brotherhood and amity which helps in building a harmonious society and it prove that NC is only party which full fill its promises .The leaders expressed happiness that the long standing demand of the people, particularly the Chenab valley has been fulfilled by the Chief Minister and said this is consonance with Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah’s cherished belief of Hindu, Muslim, Sikh unity.The National Conference leaders expressed the hope that the people of Chenab valley will continue to support NC in Bhaderwah ,Doda ,Kishtwar ,Bhalessa and Ramban .
