NCA&T HOMECOMING - 2014 Its a family tradition that each year at homecoming, my brother and I will spend a moment at the Aggie Wall, located just outside of Aggie Stadium. We do this to see the bricks representing the A&T legacy of the three Humphrey men, Michael A. Humphrey (class of 87), Norman Leo Humphrey Sr. (daddy - class of 52), and Norman Leo Humphrey Jr. (my brother - class of 83), who all matriculated through this great university that we love and call home. My late mother honored her three Aggie men with these bricks, when the wall was built. And though mom was a Bennett Belle to her core, she was a true Aggie at heart, having earned her masters degree from A&T, and later working for the university as an administrator in both the School of Nursing and the Chancellors office. A friend of mine from Atlanta was boasting one day about the fact the he was a Spel-House kid, the child of a Morehouse-educated father and Spelman-educated mother. I quickly let him know that his proclamation meant little to me, because I was an Aggie-Belle kid, the child of an A&T-educated man and a strong and beautiful Bennett Belle. Im extremely proud of that family legacy, and know many others that share that same unique lineage...Aint that right Brian Cheek Bka Cheeko and Michele Battle Ballard! Yawl know how we do! THIS THING RUNS DEEP YAWL! So when I say AGGIE PRIDE isnt a slogan - ITS A BLOOD-TYPE, true Aggies know exactly what I mean! One day and counting till my GHOE 2014 weekend begins...Cant wait to see you Aggies! Michael Hump Humphrey
