NCA punishes telcos all the time for failing on quality of service standards, sometimes even when the cause of failure is largely due to power outage. And yet telcos hardly increase their tariffs. But PURC is happy to implement some bogus and fraudulent automatic tariff adjustment system, which only does upward adjustments in the face of woefully deteriorating service delivery. No utility service provider is punished for poor services. The regulator (PURC) rather keep rewarding them and they keep paying their staff heavily to keep failing us. Utility service workers get some of the highest salaries in the public service. I agree with Kweku Baako. It is time for class actions and yentua demo and the like.
