NCDOT got our stoplight on Highway 27, Main, and Chestnut Streets - TopicsExpress

NCDOT got our stoplight on Highway 27, Main, and Chestnut Streets back working again around 8:30 this morning, however no previously closed roads around the South Fork River have reopened (check our posts below for exact roads). The river is still at 15.4 feet above normal near Lowell so if you can help it, avoid all roads around the river. NCDOT may need to have engineers looks at the washed over roadways to make sure they are structurally stable, which means they could remain closed for hours or days... we will keep you posted when we get the word they are re-opened.
