NDCS Scotland - Job Vacancy Sessional tutors for the Family Sign Language Curriculum Are you a native British Sign Language user or have a minimum Level 3 BSL qualification? Would you like to help families of deaf children learn how to sign? Then please get in touch. The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) is looking for people to teach its Family Sign Language Curriculum to families in the following areas: - Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray - Tayside and Fife - Forth Valley - North and South Lanarkshire You should: • have a minimum Level 3 BSL qualification or be a native BSL user • have experience of working with families of deaf children • be able to travel to one or more of the areas listed above • have basic BSL linguistics knowledge. Successful applicants will be given free training: on the Family Sign Language Curriculum; how to deliver it to families; and information on the language acquisition of deaf children. You will be paid to deliver the courses to families in the specified areas. If you meet the above criteria and are interested in joining the free training, please contact us for an application form.
