NDI is in the books. Thanks to all the great students and staff and volunteers who helped. It was a Lincoln High finals in LD--Caleb Martin over Maggie Zoz. Makayla Haussler (Lincoln Southwest) and Richa Sirohi (Millard West) bowed out in semis. In policy, Cora Dorau (Westside) and Angel Le (Mill South) defeated Milan Gray (Sumter Academy, Kansas City) and Lia Hagen (Westside) in finals. Aaden Helweg (Lincoln High) and Cailin Winters (Mill West) and Charie (Westside) and Renee were in semis. In Public Forum, Mary Wickizer (Lincoln High) and Greg Hauer (Yankton High School) won finals over Chris Jackson and Naomi Peterson (both from Ames High School). Jacob Beresh and Tim Kerkhove (Mill West) and Eric McAtee and Teigen Swanson (Westside) went out in semis. Much more important than the tournament was that all the students, from experienced varsity to brand spanking new to debate, had a great time and were cool people. And I can never thank the volunteers and the staff enough in all divisions!
