NEED A SPORTS PHYSICAL? Parkview Medical Center and Pueblo Community Health Center have partnered with Pueblo City Schools and School District 70 to offer a community wide sports physical event. Student athletes of all ages will be able to get a thorough and convenient exam on Monday, August 4th and Tuesday, August 5th from 8am to 4pm at the high school site of their choice. The physicals will be available for the low cost of $30. Students can select the location most convenient for them. Physicals will be available at Pueblo West High School as well as the Parkview School Based Wellness Centers at County, Central and East High Schools. Sports physicals are required for students to participate in district sponsored sports programs. A physician, physician assistant or board certified family nurse practitioner will conduct all physicals. Exams will range from 20 to 30 minutes in length and will include an emphasis on healthy behaviors and wellness; vital signs; simple vision exam; and a full body exam with particular emphasis on musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiovascular exam.
