NEIL ALEXANDER had this to say about leaving Rangers and joining Palace: “To be honest I’d rather still be at Rangers but I’m so pleased to be given this chance and I’m going to enjoy it. “I’m disappointed it didn’t work out for me at Rangers. “I was desperate to stay but the contract offer was just not acceptable. I deserved better. “I’m still a Gers fan at heart and hope they win League One and then the Championship to get back to the top division. “I have a lot of good friends at the club and wish them every success in the years ahead. “I feel proud I played my part in the recovery of the club by agreeing to stay last summer and playing in SFL3 so I will look back on that with affection. “Like the rest of the players I took a pay cut for three months last year which was tough but it was in the best interests of the club and that was the most important thing. “Although I was shocked Rangers were kicked into SFL 3, I chose to stay as it meant everything to me to become the No.1. “It was my dream to complete the whole journey back to the top but that’s not to be.” Rangers On Tour 2012/2016 NEIL ALEXANDER had this to say about leaving Rangers and joining Palace: “To be honest I’d rather still be at Rangers but I’m so pleased to be given this chance and I’m going to enjoy it. “I’m disappointed it didn’t work out for me at Rangers. “I was desperate to stay but the contract offer was just not acceptable.
