NELA Celtic Fest Kick-off Concert with Donie Carroll Name: NELA Celtic Fest Kick-off Concert with Donie Carroll Date: September 4, 2014 Time: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM For the tenth year in a row, ULM Visual and Performing Arts will host an event to kick off the Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival. Donie Carroll, an Irish traditional folk singer and entertainer will perform at the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall on Thursday, September 4th at 7:30 pm. The performance will be free to ULM students, faculty and staff with current campus identification. The general public may purchase tickets for $15 at the door or via the ULM VAPA ticket office. Donie Carroll began his musical career in Cork City, Ireland during the great Irish ballad boom of the 1960’s, had a successful run playing with and opening up for some of the best Irish acts through the years, and moved to New York City in the early 1990’s where he has met with great acclaim.
