NETBALL HUTT VALLEY EMAIL NEWSLETTER In Season No.11 (14.08.2013) ________________________________________ HUTT CITY COMMUNITY AWARDS With the Hutt City Community Awards approaching Netball Hutt Valley thought that this would be an appropriate time to forward a nomination for a Civic Honour. Sue Hare has been involved with netball since 1989 as a volunteer. She has given her time to the centre and umpires association in several roles from treasurer, draw steward and as an administrator. She began her netball career playing for Naenae College Old Girls and then became a foundation member with Stokes Valley Kowhai Netball Club and later became involved with the Hutt Valley Umpires association and then elected treasurer for Hutt Valley Netball association a position she has held from 1992-95 and then again in 2000- to the present. Sue sat on the Netball Wellington region working party in 1999 – when the region was initially set up and has supported the region by being involved in several working groups over the years. She was awarded her Netball Hutt Valley service award in 2002 and life membership in 2007 and was acknowledged with her regional life membership in 2010. She has worked hard for her club and her centre over the years and continues to do this as dedicated volunteer and team player of Hutt Valley Netball Centre and her region. We thank Sue for her time and her commitment over the years and have much pleasure in supporting this nomination. Netball Hutt Valley was notified this week that Sue’s nomination was successful and she will be presented with her Civic Honour at the Awards ceremony on 18th September.
