NEVADA CKI! After a two year hiatus, our District Summer Service Social is back with a whole new menu of workshops, socials, and of course, service. District Summer Service Social, or DSSS, is a three day District event which is held at the Kiwanis District Convention giving Circle K members a unique opportunity to interact and form bonds with the Kiwanis, Key Club members, and other Circle K members of California-Nevada-Hawaii through service and leadership. This year’s DSSS is from August 14th-16th at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, CA and it’s all about “Cooking up Service” with a variety of service events that include creating backpacks to donate to underprivileged children, making “Thank You” cards for the San Diego Fire Department, and making sack lunches for the homeless of the San Diego area. Also built into the itinerary of DSSS are unique socials such as laser tagging and fresh workshops designed to propel your Circle K to starting the new school year with a “bang”! The District Service Committee will be giving updates about the event on our DSSS Tumblr page ( cnhdistrictservice.tumblr ) . There is also a wealth of other information about the event on there such as forms, etc. tl;dr? District Summer Service Social is an awesome event where people from all over the district get together for a bunch of service!
