NEW CONCERTO FOR GUITAR AND PLECTRUM ORCHESTRA Hi Friends, just out of curiosity, here you can find a new concerto for guitar and plucked string orchestra. All the best for 2015!!! https://youtube/watch?v=MX4y5qK-7TE Places in the Mariola Mountain (“Estancies in the Serra Mariola”) is a concerto for guitar and plectrum orchestra evoking different places of the Mariola Mountains (in Spain). The first movement, entitled Leaving the Square (“Eixint de la Plaça”) represents the solemnity of the churches that stand in the main squares of the towns in the area as well as the jovial and cheerful nature of the locals. The second movement, Among olive trees (“Entre oliveres”) recreates a walk through the fields, where nature takes center stage. The third movement, entitled From the Rock of the Friar (“Des de la Penya el Frare”) is descriptive and reflects a passage of the battles that occurred during the Reconquest in Spain between 722 and 1492. The hosts parade and prepare for the battle; a reference to a popular theme frames the environment in which it will take place. One last attempt at dialogue between the two sides occurs before the spears sail through the air from one side to another, leading to the final march.
