NEW DEVELOPMENT FROM MONYO COUNTY, UPPER NILE STATE (19 OCTOBER): General Olony dispatched 500 shilluk soldiers to attack freedom fighters in Manyo County yesterday at 6:30 am South Sudan time. In self-defend, freedom fighters inflicted them a big defeat in which their first Lt. Colon Nyachol Opiu was among the killed soldiers. Shilluks wounded and captured soldiers were placed under further interrogation for intelligent gathering. Shilluk fighters made a mistake that they will never forget. Nearly 200 soldiers of them were killed and drowned in the Opel Lake. Some countless soldiers were pushed into White Nile River. The remnant soldiers were scared into the bush.
