NEW Employment Opportunity (Edmonton) LEM SUPERVISOR Department: Payroll Reports to: Payroll Manager Location: Edmonton Capital Office Date: June 2013 Purpose & Key Accountabilities: To ensure accurate time entry, resulting in timely & accurate pay for our employees and billing to our clients. Duties & Responsibilities Supervisory: Ensure LEMs are entered accurately and timely according to our customer contract deadlines for invoicing and for payroll all time is entered by 5pm on Monday’s for the prior week’s (Sunday to Saturday) payroll. Supervise, coach and train the LEM administrators, prepare performance reviews. Provide training on SAP and on Contract requirements to LEM Administrators. Review and approve all FT and time entry in SAP according to timelines in point 1: ensure accuracy of time according to union contracts and for non-union according to Government Regulation, and ensure accuracy regarding billable vs non-billable time. Enter LEM’s as required to ensure the team meets all deadlines. Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure time entry is meeting A/R requirements. Train Site Administrators on LEM preparation to ensure Time accuracy from both a payroll perspective and a billing perspective. Maintain Process and Internal Control documentation; suggest improvements to processes; following process change requirements. Work with A/R to review customer contracts for pricing and to maintain price lists/ and project codes in SAP. Working with the SAP Super User, ensure that all codes are up-to-date prior to entry of LEMs. Analysis: SAP subject matter expert for Time Entry. Prepare analysis on Billable vs Non-Billable time and work with Payroll Manager to ensure that all time paid for is marked as billable in SAP to assist in accurate billing of time to our clients. Prepare ad-hoc reports. General: Other projects and duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Working in an office environment, some overtime may be required Competencies Essential Accounting Diploma Ability to work with a positive attitude and in a professional manner Strong team-player, with ability to contribute to teams development Ability to recommend continuous improvement initiatives Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment Detailed oriented person Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills Proficient in MS Office Suite, with an intermediate/advanced level in MS Excel – pivot tables Good planning, organizing and problem-solving skills Ability to work with minimum supervision and be a dedicated team player Ability to work overtime to ensure deadlines are met. Preferred: Experience working with ERP systems and in particular SAP B1 Oil & Gas & Construction Services background is an asset Qualifications Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in accounting / receivables / time entry 1 year supervisory experience.
