NEW FINDINGS ON THE CAUSE OF INFLAMMATORY BREAST CANCER As part of a research partnership with the University of Münster, Dr. Sherif Abdelaziz Ibrahim from the University of Cairo is investigating the role a certain protein plays in the development of inflammatory breast cancer. He presented his most recent finding at the Stem Cells in Cancer and Regenerative Medicine conference held mid-October in Heidelberg. Inflammatory breast cancer is particularly prevalent in Egypt and Tunisia, where it accounts for 23 percent of all cancer diagnoses.
