NEW HERC CONFERENCE Personalised Medicine and Resource Allocation 2nd March 2015 | St Anne’s College, University of Oxford The conference will explore the challenges of implementing genomic medicine into widespread clinical practice. There will be a particular focus on the generation of economic evidence and the ethical issues that arise in the resource allocation decisions required to allow personalised medicine to be realised. The day will bring together health and non-health economists, health policy makers, ethicists, philosophers, and public health experts. Confirmed speakers include: Prof Mike Parker, University of Oxford Prof Frances Flinter, Guy’s & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust Prof Maarten IJzerman, University of Twente Prof Kathryn Phillips, University of California Prof Katherine Payne, University of Manchester James Buchanan, University of Oxford Prof Roger Crisp, University of Oxford Dr Wolf Rogowski, Helmholtz Zentrum München Dr Theron Pummer, University of Oxford Dr Mark Kroese, Public Health Genomics Foundation Abstracts relating to themes outlined above are invited for both poster and platform presentation.
