Your heart will absolutely break for sweet Darcy. She seems so sad when she looks up at you in the shelter and you can tell she doesnt understand why shes in such a strange place. Darcy sits quietly in her shelter cage, watching, waiting, just longing for someone to take some interest in her. She looks up at you with pleading eyes and waits patiently for you to let her know its okay for her to come up to you. Then, she walks ever so gently up to you and lightly gives you a kiss. You just want to hold her forever and let her know everythings going to be okay. Even in her pictures you can see her sadness. Darcy is a petite staffordshire terrier mix, approx. 1 to 2 years, and fully vaccinated, including bordetella and worming. All she needs is her rabies shot and to be spayed and we may have a sponsor for her spay! Darcy is a laid back, quiet, very gentle, and loving dog. When you take her out for walks she constantly stops just to look up at you and cherishes the loving pets she gets from those who spend time with her. As with all dogs when meeting other new dogs, you’ll want to properly supervise introductions to any existing dogs in the household and she may do best in a home without cats. I promise you...you wont be disappointed in this sweetheart! This is one absolutely wonderful girl and I know in my heart shes going to truly cherish the person who saves her and finally shows her what true love feels like. Wont you be the one to give this precious girl the second chance she deserves. . .the forever home she longs for...the love shes probably never known? I have not found a foster for her and Im getting desperate! I have not had her off-leash around the cats but have introduced them while she was on the leash. I only have 2 cats who even like dogs...one of them is special needs and having a relapse right now so I introduced her to only one. Shes interested in the cats, and seems to just want to play with them. Shes so boisterous and rough in her play that she scares them and they end up hissing, slapping at her, and hiding. When shes seen them through the window, she rubs her body along the window as if she were rubbing up against them. When one hissed at her though the window, she yipped and jumped back about 2 feet.
