The role is shared and sole charge care. As a live in position, the family offer your own bedroom in a separate annex with en-suite bathroom (shower). Access to a separate sitting room and kitchen. The hours of work are Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm with flexible additional hours needed for some weekends / evening babysitting. The family live on a farm just north of Dartmoor, Devon. The role includes full nursery Duties / shared and sole childcare / driving (car provided during working hours)/ cooking/ homework /sport. Duties include keeping the children’s areas of house clean and organised, help with getting the children dressed, breakfasted and ready for school in the morning, school runs/ playing, reading, outdoor entertainment, visits to playgrounds/children’s groups etc, age appropriate actives and outings, preparing healthy fresh meals for the family, occasional bath time and one evening’s babysitting a week. Duties in the home include daily cleaning of the children’s areas, laundry, ironing, shopping, cooking The family are seeking an organised, enthusiastic individual with a good work/muck in attitude who positively enjoys creating a calm environment for our sometimes busy family. Most importantly the family are seeking someone whom the children will come to love and respect; who has a sense of kindness, common sense, good humour, is firm but understanding and sympathetic with an active desire to see those in their care flourish and grow. Due to the location a love of the great outdoors will be a huge attribute. The family require a nanny to start work on or before 3rd January 2015.
