NEW LAW FOR MOTHERS: Just read in The Huff Post that breastfeeding is now required - BY LAW - in the United Arab Emirates, and the Mothers must breastfeed for 2 Years !! I read all the info about how much better it is than formula feeding, and that the child will be much healthier, and not have any allergies. That is B.S. I breastfed my youngest child, and for the first 3 months - not a single drop of formula. The result: She had bad Eczema from what I was eating, food allergies, earaches, a bad flu/virus at a year old, Scarlet fever around one year, and Chicken Pox at two 1/2 years old. Childhood - lots of strep throat infections. In fact, the Pediatrician told me that she was the youngest baby with Scarlet fever (strep rash) he had ever seen in his entire practice. I had tried eliminating many foods from my diet, but it didnt help at all, finally we switched her to Soy formula. To this day, she is allergic to peanuts, etc. So, breastfeeding isnt for everyone.
