Go also to Eagle Times Magazine PNG’s Facebook page and “Like” the page, just like 3549 people have already done, in order to get updates on news and feature articles via your news feed on Fb. The new magazine is an initiative of entrepreneur Nicholas Laki, who was asked to comment as to what motivated him to start the magazine. Mr Laki replied: “I started Eagle Times because 1. There is no investigative/in-depth analysis journalism in PNG. PNG journalism is below par with the rest of the world. It is an understatement but it is the fact. So Eagle Times through its columns (politics, economy, blog, know-your-constitution, anti-corruption capsules, subsurface resource, business development & entrepreneurship and obituary) bring to readers stories and reports that will report on the fundamentals working to bring about events we see every day in our lives except obituary which is reflecting on someone who died but his legacy lives on. 2. I want to motivate PNGeans through giving stories of successful people so people can try to emulate those that succeeded such as those in the business development and entrepreneurship.” Mr Laki, who uses the name Nick Laki on Facebook, also advised that he wants to source new distributors/agents in urban centres throughout PNG to retail the magazine and is happy to meet the freight cost to ship the magazine to distributors/agents. Mr Laki plans also on promoting PNG internationally by shipping the magazine next year to overseas agents in Cairns, Brisbane, Honiara, Nadi, Suva, and Port Vila. Anybody interested in becoming a distributor, please contact Mr Laki directly via FB messaging or via nicholas.laki@eagletimespng for more information: “PNGEANS SHOULD SUPPORT US BY BUYING THE MAGAZINE, ADVERTISE WITH US, SOME CAN BECOME AGENT IN THEIR CENTERS SO IT’S A SUCCESS” Mr Laki also said; and provided the following information: ●HARD COPY: K6. ●SOFT COPY: K6 (inbox for banking details) ● DIRECT MAIL •within PNG-K13 (Incl postal charge) •Overseas-K30 (Incl postal charge) PORT MORESBY- level 1 Starlink bookshop, Vision City Megamall. - Street sales- town, 4mile and Waigani Drive MOUNT HAGEN- Level one, Digicel outlet, Kim’s Plaza LAE- Eriku AOG church - LAE international Hotel - to be set up soon
