I let the dog off leash for a moment when I heard her growling / barking and she ran back to camp. After which I heard loud thuds and something that sounded like a baseball bat hitting a large tree. this went on for hours, coming closer then further out. I was skeptical considering this once my first hike alone and thought maybe my imagination was playing tricks until the knocks came within 50 yards of the campsite.” Any additional Info?
