NEW RT OFFICE IN BROOKLYN almost ready.... In one more week the RT staff should be moving into our NEW OFFICE which was once RAW space. (Also it was once the Daily Planet and first Brooklyn Telegraph office!) Dont ever stay in one place for 25 years and store tons of stuff then move into beautiful OLD building with NO available storage basement AND have to install and construct EVERYTHING -- from floor to ceiling, plumbing and electricity WHILE you are doing the following: 1) putting out a monthly magazine with over 250 reviews; 2) designing new convention computer format for 32nd RT Booklovers Convention in Dallas; 3) registering Authors, Readers, Booksellers, Librarians and Bloggers (plus several hundred International publishers, authors, readers, and bloggers) at a rate of 3 per minute; 4) planning 100 workshops, publisher and author parties, etc. for Dallas; 5) creating our first Weekend Satellite event near my farm - The First Annual HOUSTON READERS & WRITERS ROUNDUP --OCT 9-11, 2015. Texas authors showcased next October include Maya Banks, Colleen Hoover, Damon Suede, Desiree Holt, R.k. Lilley, Sierra Cartwright, Erin Noelle, TK Rapp, Kathy Clark Author, Michelle Bardsley, Kerralynn Sparks, Kayla the Bibliophile and 20 MORE TEXANS PLUS pals from North of the Border! Are joining us -- -Raine Miller, Harper Sloan, Sharon Sala, Emma Chase, Christina Lauren, Jay Crownover, Kahlen Ames, RS Gray, Lori Otto --- and more... Put Oct 9-11 on your dance card! WE did All this in THE SAME MONTH. Minor awful detail--Mercury was in retrograde til Oct 25 but due to legalities/permits we bit the bullet --- because we NEVER would have moved this mercurial month. Carol Stacy and President Ken Rubin outdid themselves! And --all is well that ends well. Official move is November 1. Fingers crossed that computers and phones will hook up and desks arrive on time.
