NEW: Six months after the killing of about 74 security operatives at Alakyo near Lafia, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura wednesday said his government is considering an amnesty programme for members of Ombatse, an Eggon group widely accused of the killing and various other atrocities across the state. ------------------------------------ The Governor must be sick. If despite the spent of hundreds of billions of naira on amnesty, the Niger-Delta terrorists still continue to carry-out attack, then its insane for any leader to think of initiating another amnesty programme. The govt through its action is indirectly encouraging criminality in the land. It shows you can only get her attention when you bear arms against the state. Let every tribe form its own militia group since thats the only available means to chop from the national cake because this is what the govt want.
