NEW TRAFFIC PATTERNS ON I-95 & I-895 IN PREPARATION FOR I-95 ETL OPENING ON DEC. 6 -- Weather-permitting, new traffic patterns will take effect for I-95 and I-895 motorists where the future northbound and southbound I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETL) merge to I-95 and I-895. Starting Dec. 4, drivers on northbound I-95 will notice an added left lane where the northbound I-95 ETL will end near Cowenton Avenue. The right lane on northbound I-95 will end approximately one mile north. Drivers on southbound I-895 will notice an added left lane near Moravia Road where southbound I-95 ETL traffic will exit onto I-895. Similarly, the right lane on southbound I-895 will end about one quarter mile south. Drivers also will see crews uncovering the advance I-95 ETL signs throughout the corridor. WHEN: The traffic pattern changes will occur on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and will be in effect Thursday, Dec. 4. Crews will begin uncovering the advance I-95 ETL signs over the next few days.
