NEW WINESKINS IS 40! Stewart Wicker, Director of SAMS-USA: New Wineskins carried a seminal role in the formative years of SAMS-USA. Walter and Louise Hannum were great encouragers for our fledgling mission effort and the key resource for training our missionaries for many years. Sharon Steinmiller and her staff have continued to be a blessing to SAMS as they seek to lift up ministries, give away resources, link up people with calling, create a praying community, and encourage radical collaboration in global mission. Additionally, the launching of the New Wineskins for Global Mission Conference in 1994 helped SAMS to share its vision and ministry more widely. Many other mission ministries have grown and even been created through the fruit of this conference. Most importantly, the conference has helped many churches and individuals take further steps in faithfully crossing cultures to follow our Lord Jesus Christ’s Great Commission.
