NEWLY-ELECTED BATAAN GOV. ABET GARCIA BATS FOR P.P.P. NEWLY-Elected Bataan Gov. Abet Garcia has urged the new set of Sangguniang Panlalawigan to pass an ordinance implementing the public-private partnership scheme to fast track development and progress of the province. In his first encounter with newly elected and re-elected provincial board members last Monday (July 15), Garcia said the success of PPP scheme was proven in the case of Balanga City where the Robinsons Department Store is now located and a private builder put up the Galeria Victoria but the city government did not spend a single centavo. Garcia lined up various projects aimed at making Bataan a premier province not only in Central Luzon but in the whole country. The SP special session was attended by heads of offices of both local and national government agencies. Garcia asked them to think up of new ideas to promote the interest of Bataan and spur development in the area. Some P300 million is set to be released to improve the former Bataan Transport Mall where a world-class convention center will rise.
