NEWS: A senior official from the The United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division has sent two stern warnings to #Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson in recent days. The DOJ has expressed deep concern with Ferguson police officers wearing bracelets that say, I am Darren Wilson and other officers who are refusing to wear name tags affixed to their uniforms. According to the DOJ: Officers wearing name plates while in uniform is a basic component of transparency and accountability. The DOJ also said: I am #DarrenWilson bracelets are exacerbating an already tense atmosphere between law enforcement and residents in Ferguson.
