NEWS ALERTS → Muharram moon to be sighted today Dated: 2013-11-04 KARACHI: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold its meeting at Meteorological Complex in Karachi on Monday (today) to sight moon for Muharram-ul-Haram. Chairman, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman‚ has announced that‚ in accordance with requirements of Shariah‚ the meeting will decide about the first day of the next Islamic year‚that is‚ Muharram one 1434 Hijra. He has also invited citizens to share their information with the committee if they happen to witness the moon for Muharram-ul-Haram. The information could be communicated via phone number 021-99261434 and cell phone numbers 0300-9285203‚ 0321-2880864 and 0321-2484604.
