NEWS FROM THE MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP LIBRARY: SUBMITTED BY: CHRISTINE NOFSINGER, LIBRARIAN Library News—February 11, 2014 New fiction at the library includes: Command Authority by Tom Clancy; Orpheo: A Novel, a book inspired by the myth of Orpheus, from the National Book Awarding author, Richard Powers; A Tale for the Time Being , a book shortlisted for the Booker Prize by best-selling author Ruth Ozeki; The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin; The Polaris Protocol, a thriller by Brad Taylor and Saints of the Shadow Bible by Ian Rankin. New non-fiction includes: The Art of Controversy: Political Cartoons and Their Enduring Power by Victor Navasky; Empty Mansions: the Mysterious Life of Huguette Clark and the Spending of a Great American Fortune by Bill Dedman; Hitler’s Furies: German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields by Wendy Lower; Jim Henson: the Biography by Brian Jay Jones; Light and Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page by Brad Tolinski and On Virtues: Quotations and Insight to Live a Full, Honerable and Truly American Life by Sheldon Whitehouse. Stop in at the library and curl up by the fireplace with a good book on these cold days and for a $1.00 donation you can even sip a cup of coffee or tea from our new coffee bar. The library has a beautiful new meeting room which can be reserved for groups in the community. Call the library at 646-9654 for meeting room policy information. On Valentine’s Day the library will serve cake and punch to celebrate the completion of the library renovation project. Come watch a romantic comedy by the fireplace and enjoy our beautiful facility.
