NEWS:: Game of Thrones fans finally know what to expect from HBOs upcoming special about the series, A Day in the Life. The half-hour documentary will offer an inside look at the creation of Thrones, which spreads across three countries and has two crews working at any given point in time. Season 5 introduces some new locations filmed in Spain, and the special will explore them. A promo for A Day in the Life, above, offers some great teases for Season 5. It shows the creation of an arena which is a key setting for Daenerys, seems to showcase a fight between Jaime Lannister and one of the Sand Snakes (Oberyn Martells bastard daughters) and reveals a battle at Castle Black. The logline for the special reads: Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life is a half-hour documentary that covers one day of production on three different sets, in three different countries -- Belfast, Ireland; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Sevilla and Osuna, Spain -- during the filming of Season 5. Following key crew members, the show highlights the epic sets, renowned cast and global scale of Game of Thrones, as well as the more intimate and individual challenges of our subjects, giving the audience a new perspective on one of the most elaborate productions in television history. The special airs Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. Season 5 premieres on April 12 at 9 p.m.
