NEWS HEADLINES: (1) The UN report which was out on 15th-12-14 by the director(Dimitary Sanga) of a UN agency called UN Economic commission for africa said the debt of countries affected by Ebola should be forgiven. Ie,$2.6 billion should be cancilled/written off,he pleaded to the UN international body. (2) GOSL opened a treatment centre in portloko on 15th-12-14,but 4 patients were admitted on the day before. (3) The influx of the following dignitaries in the country: (1) Justin Welby the Arc bishop of cantabry, (2) Dr. Tom Freedon,head of CDC in America came on the 18th-12-14,(3) After his 2months suspension of visit to West Africa,Bankie Mone visited Liberia first and freetown,also Guinea for 2days. Wherein,he hold a closedoor meeting with EBK at state house and visited the Hastens treatment centre which was established on 19th-12-14 manned by 100% S/Leonean doctors and is classed as the most successful treatment centre becaused it has discharged over 360 ebola patients.(4) Dr. Peter Piot the micro biologist scientist that discovered Ebola in Zaire... (4) Members of the SLFA held a conference at Harry Yanseneh hall in August and met on an agreed to hold congress in makeni,but the stakeholders turned round and called an Extraordinary congress on the 20th-12-14 ignoring the date set up by FIFA on 29th-30th-12-15. They went for police cleariance to hold their congress at Siaka stevens stadium,but they were referred to NERC,and Alfred parlo Conteh(CEO of National Ebola Response centre) turned them down due to the state of emmergency. The stakeholders and 41 delegates then held a phone conference and a vote of no confidence was held to impeach the Isha Johanson led executive based on article 26-1,they spend $1.5 million which they were not mandated to and that $50,000 given to SLFA by FIFA was not accounted for.
