(Photo by Iman Mani) WITHIN a couple of hours after their workshop at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) earlier this month, the New Delhi-based Soul Samvaad band flew back home. Despite their short planned two-day stay in the country, their host: the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) thought it would give their visit more meaning to present a two-hour intensive course at the universitys Fine and Performing Arts Department (FPAD) before returning home. After all, the funds to cover the eight-piece bands expenses for the visit had already been provided by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in New Delhi.
