NEWS: Over 20 thousand gallons of sewage overflowed this morning on Chisholm Road...The ECUA says a 4 inch Air Release valve malfunctioned during maintenance work, sending 21 thousand, 100 gallons loose of which 84 hundred gallons were recovered by vacuum truck and transported to the ECUAs Central Water Reclamation Facility for proper treatment and disposal. The unrecovered portion entered a storm drain and a creek that crosses Chisholm Trail. Samples and testing are underway...An air Release Valve is designed to release air trapped in high points of a pressurized sewer main.
