NEWS RELEASE LABADIEVILLE --- Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Friday, January 2nd, 2015 at approximately 1:30pm, Assumption Parish Dispatch received a 911 call of a man found dead inside of his home located at 3102 Hwy 1, Labadieville, La. Deputies and detectives arrived and confirmed this information and are investigating what appears to be a homicide. The victim was identified as Gordon Jones, Sr, B/M, age 63. The body is being transported by the Assumption Parish Coroner to the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office today for a full and complete autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. This is an ongoing investigation and Detective Captain Darren Crochet is the lead investigator on this case.
