NEWS RELEASE: On 10-22-13 at 1419 hours Jail Staff at the Kenosha County Jail (KCJ) 1000-55th Street found a male inmate had attempted to commit suicide by hanging himself. Life saving efforts were immediately conducted just prior to the inmate being transported to Kenosha Memorial Hospital. At 1505 hours he was pronounced dead by Hospital staff after life saving efforts were not successful. The subject, Herbert J. Larson 57 years of age of Burlington, WI was in custody for misdemeanor traffic charges of OWI. Sheriff David Beth has asked The Racine County Sheriff’s Office to conduct the investigation into the incident. Investigation is still ongoing.
