NEWS ROUND-UP MWEENE, KATONGO FACE OFF IN PSL Chipolopolo number 1 Kennedy Mweene returned to league action in his usual starting place as Mamelodi Sundowns were frustrated 0-0 by a highly defensive Bidvest Wits which included expelled Zambia skipper Chris Katongo for the last two minutes of the match. The face-off between Mweene and Katongo was however a short affair as the 2012 BBC African Footballer of the Year was only thrown into the action with just two minutes before full-time. Katongo was thrown out of the Chipolopolo camp ahead of Zambias 3-0 thumping of Niger for tactical indiscipline. Katongo is alleged to have questioned the technical bench tactics and playing strategies which were deemed divisive and a danger to team unity. He returned to his base immediately after his Zambia expulsion and was only an 88th minute substitute on Saturday. The first and only Zambian skipper yet to lift the Africa Cup still awaits his first goal of the season. In other PSL action involving Zambian sons, Bornwell Mwape was helpless to help his struggling Amazulu as hey sank to a 1-0 home defeat against Chippa United.
